Chris Evans, the early morning DJ on Radio 2 is having his teeth straightened. He informed his listeners on Monday that he has started wearing a series of clear aligners; probably Invisalign or Clearstep. Looking at one of his old photos, it certainly looks as though his lower incisors are pretty uneven. Interestingly enough, none of his recent promotional pictures show his lower front teeth.
At Kelvin House Dental Practice, in Whitstable, dentist Paul Downes offers Social 6 Clear Aligners which are designed to just straighten the teeth that show. They work in exactly the same way as Invisalign and Clearstep but are custom-made by skilled technicans rather than by very clever CAD-CAM machines. Because we only straighten the front teeth, treatment time is as little as 12 - 18 weeks. We wish Chris Evans success in his orthodontic treatment and look forward to hearing about how he gets on with the whole process.
