New trend in dentistry towards minimal intervention

The UK is taking the lead in 'minimal intervention' dentistry. By using simple orthodontic braces, dentists are now able to correct the position of the front six teeth (the 'social 6' area) in a quick and affordable way. This reduces the need to heavily prepare teeth in order to place porcelain veneers to disguise the crowding. Any remaining slight discrepancies in the shape or colour of the teeth can then easily be corrected with the minimally invasive techniques of composite bonding and tooth whitening.
